LP, Album

I enjoy listening to different styles of music. So, I don’t look for specific artists that I want to hear but instead I look for labels that promoted a genre of music.

Sunset was a jazz label active during the 1960’s and released quite a bit of jazz music. In this case “swing” music played by Bill Davis on the organ. Otherwise, Sunset was a budget label under Liberty, providing the mass market with “jazz pop”.

On this release there is an uncredited quintet (two guitars, tenor saxophone, drums and organ). Nice music. Nothing that would appear in the jazz polls. But, easily, an LP that you would put in the playing stack on your record player.
